Why My Puppy Application Matters

I get a lot of messages from people asking about specific puppies, often based on color or gender, or requesting more pictures and videos as the puppies grow. When that happens, I typically guide the conversation toward filling in my application if it hasn’t been submitted yet. Here’s why.

Bringing a new puppy into your life is a big decision. Placing that puppy is just as meaningful for me. Whether you’re hoping for a companion, a performance partner, or a future breeding prospect, everything starts with the application.

It’s not just a form. It’s how I begin to understand who you are. It’s how I come to understand your needs, hopes, lifestyle, goals, experience, and what you’re really looking for in a dog. That context matters. It helps me make thoughtful, ethical placement decisions that serve the best interest of both the puppy and you and your family.

This is the start of what should be a 12 to 15-year relationship between you and your dog. My job is to help set you both up for success. I don’t want to see anyone feeling overwhelmed or regretting a rushed decision a year down the road.

That’s why I don’t dive into detailed conversations about specific puppies until I’ve reviewed your application. I don’t hold spots casually or match based on color alone. I evaluate each puppy over time and use what you’ve shared to help guide the right match.
